Himmelfarb Library was recently notified that one of its licensed resources, MDConsult, was accessed at a rate that exceeded normal and authorized use of copyright protected material. Himmelfarb Library users are expected to abide by US copyright law, the University's Code of Conduct for Users of Computing Systems and Services, and Himmelfarb Library's Appropriate Use Policy. Failure to abide by these policies places continued access to electronic resources at risk; publishers may cancel our subscriptions, refuse to renew our subscriptions, or substantially raise the prices of our subscriptions. Himmelfarb Library's Appropriate Use Policy: The resources available through Himmelfarb Library's E-Databases/MEDLINE, E-Journals, and E-Texts webpages are resources that have been licensed by Himmelfarb Library and/or the George Washington University for use by faculty, staff and students. In general, these resources permit users to conduct their personal research to support education, research, and clinical practice and to print or download individual copies of materials. These resources do not permit users to otherwise copy or distribute the contents, download large portions of the resources, or re-post the resources on the Internet. By accessing these resources, you agree to abide by Himmelfarb Library's appropriate use policy as well as the policies of the publishers who produce and/or supply the resources. If you have questions regarding appropriate use, please contact Laura Abate at (202) 994-8570 or mlblea@gwumc.edu. When you access Himmelfarb resources from off-campus location, you must login via a secure proxy (ALADIN, VPN, or EZProxy). You must use your personal login and password only; do not share your login and password with anyone. If you know someone who needs access to Himmelfarb Library, please refer that individual to the Himmelfarb Library Reference Desk at 202-994-2850 or library@gwumc.edu..
